Fabricator / Welder

Our client, based in Manchester, are currently seeking an experienced Fabricator / Welder. The company is a highly successful digital and architectural signage company working in sectors such as Hospitality, Travel, Transport, Retail and Leisure.
The Role:
- Establish tasks set on a daily basis and meeting deadlines
- To review engineering drawings for parts to be fabricated/welded
- Perform welding/plating activities
- Fabricate sheet metal
- Ensure tolerances and parameters are met to satisfy quality and output
- Ensure production timings are met/exceeded
- Use of Management system
- Follow company rules and adhere to procedures & Health and Safety standards
- Work as part of a team to produce orders on time and within customer expectation/quality requirements
- Ensure correct marking up of component parts
- Support the Production Manager with Quality Checks and obtain sign off
- Maintain work records to support the client handover
- Work as part of the assembly team as required to support short deadlines.
The Candidate:
- Able to read and understand manufacturing / engineering drawings
- Qualified welder in Mig & Tig
- Sheet metal skills
- Folding press
- High attention to detail
- Proficient in Google Applications (i.e.) Gmail, Google Drive, etc
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work using your own initiative as well as working within a team
- Good people skills and excellent customer service ethic.
This job role is full time working 40 hours a week, Monday-Thursday (7am – 4pm) and Friday (7am – 3pm).
