Fabricator / Welder
Manchester
Salary is Negotiable DOE

Our client, based in Manchester, are currently seeking an experienced Fabricator / Welder. The company is a highly successful digital and architectural signage company working in sectors such as Hospitality, Travel, Transport, Retail and Leisure.

The Role:

  • Establish tasks set on a daily basis and meeting deadlines
  • To review engineering drawings for parts to be fabricated/welded
  • Perform welding/plating activities
  • Fabricate sheet metal
  • Ensure tolerances and parameters are met to satisfy quality and output
  • Ensure production timings are met/exceeded
  • Use of Management system
  • Follow company rules and adhere to procedures & Health and Safety standards
  • Work as part of a team to produce orders on time and within customer expectation/quality requirements
  • Ensure correct marking up of component parts
  • Support the Production Manager with Quality Checks and obtain sign off
  • Maintain work records to support the client handover
  • Work as part of the assembly team as required to support short deadlines.

The Candidate:

  • Able to read and understand manufacturing / engineering drawings
  • Qualified welder in Mig & Tig
  • Sheet metal skills
  • Folding press
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficient in Google Applications (i.e.) Gmail, Google Drive, etc
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work using your own initiative as well as working within a team
  • Good people skills and excellent customer service ethic.

 

This job role is full time working 40 hours a week, Monday-Thursday (7am – 4pm) and Friday (7am – 3pm).
