The role of Consultant in Learning Disability Psychiatry based in Nottingham. You will be the responsible clinician for a 20 bedded ward.
Salary: Up to £160,000 per annum
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Developing and delivering quality improvement initiatives throughout the region for Learning Disability services, while driving continuous improvement.
- Take overall responsibility for patient treatment plans in conjunction with the MDT
- Assess referrals & undertake mental state examinations of service users
- Undertake appropriate investigations, diagnosis & treatment
- Participate in ward rounds & clinical audits
- Lead the implementation of risk assessment, risk management & embed clinical governance
- Supervise reports for Mental Health Act tribunals & managers’ hearings & attend hearings
- Participate in the 1:6 to 1:8 2nd on-call rota for the region.
Details:

- Experience in Learning Disability Psychiatry
- Must hold Section 12 and AC status
- CCT in Learning Disability or General Adult
