Buyer (Print/Media)

Our client, a leading multichannel marketing services business, is seeking an experienced Buyer to join their dynamic procurement team. This role is pivotal in enhancing our support to diverse business areas and clients by efficiently sourcing and negotiating print and media services. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in procurement within the print and media industry, demonstrating strong negotiation skills, commercial awareness, and exceptional organizational abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and Procurement: Identify and evaluate suppliers for print and media services, negotiating contracts and terms to secure favorable pricing and quality.

  • Supplier Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

  • Cost Management: Analyze pricing proposals, manage budgets effectively, and seek cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide strategic procurement solutions.

  • Market Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices to inform procurement strategies.

  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and assess supplier performance to ensure compliance with agreed-upon standards and specifications.

  • Project Coordination: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a print/media buyer or similar role within the marketing or advertising industry.

  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost savings and favorable terms.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and work efficiently under pressure.

  • Analytical mindset with good commercial acumen, capable of interpreting data and making informed decisions.

  • Proficiency in procurement software/tools and MS Office Suite (particularly Excel) for data analysis and reporting.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
