Are you a passionate, dedicated Social Work Assistant looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Social Work Assistant to join their Children with Disabilities Team based in Mansfield. 

Umbrella Rate: £18.19 per hour 

Duration: 3 months initially 

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5pm, 37 hrs/week – Hybrid

SWA role: Full JD Available

• Direct work with children, young people and their families
• Assist social workers in the assessment of need and the implementation of plans for children and families
• Assist and work with social workers to ensure the safeguarding of vulnerable children/ young people
• Develop, implement, review and assess plans for children where appropriate
• Provide support to enable plans to be progressed in a more timely manner
• Liaise with schools, health services, voluntary agencies and other partner agencies
• Accompanying social workers on home visits, transporting/delivering/collecting as required
• Maintain effective, trusting working relationships
• Attend team activities, meetings, reviews and case discussions where necessary
• Keep and maintain up to date records of work done
• Ensure confidentiality of information
• Contribute to professional development of yourself and others

Essential Requirements

• UK Driving Licence, access to a vehicle, business insurance
• Recent, extensive experience working with vulnerable children, young people and families
• Knowledge of child development and children’s needs
• Experience of working with other agencies
• Must be flexible
• You Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UK
• Must already have an Enhanced Child DBS registered to the update service
