I am excited to be working with a growing wholesale company who due to growth can offer an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic Director of Sales to join a leading and innovative food and beverage wholesaler. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for the food and beverage industry, who is ready to take on the challenge of driving sales and expanding market share for a brand with a strong sustainable message and a unique selling point.

Day-to-day of the role of a Sales Director:

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy that aligns with the company’s goals and growth.
  • Build and maintain relationships across both On and Off trade, including engagement with on trade.
  • Lead and manage a sales team and key account managers, providing training and support to achieve budgeted targets.
  • Conduct competitor analysis, identify marketing opportunities, and implement effective sales campaigns.
  • Secure new business, maintain existing relationships, and manage P&L in a commodity-driven environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments and network within the beverage industry to drive sales and brand awareness.

Required Skills & Qualifications for the Sales Director:

  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in a Senior Sales role within the food/drinks industry.
  • A proven track record in sales, team management, and delivering results.
  • A passion for the drinks industry and up-to-date knowledge of current trends.
  • Ambitious and driven, with a focus on sales and client development.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of working both in a team and independently.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to set and prioritise goals.
