Quality Technician

Market Drayton

Permanent contract

Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off, 7-7 (days and nights in weekly rotation)

£36,092 per annum plus overtime paid at 1.5 x

We are currently recruiting a Quality Technician, within our site at Market Drayton. The Quality Technician will be responsible for managing, developing and controlling a team supporting the activities of the Manufacturing teams. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the relevant technical competencies, coupled with the ability to lead, monitor and develop a strong team. The Quality Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all products and processes comply with all current specifications.

Quality Technician Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting and coaching Operational teams on key quality and hygienic principles.
  • Follow a structured RCA process to define robust corrective actions across a range of factory related topics.
  • Proactively promote and encourage the adoption of hygienic working practices in line with Factory Standards.
  • Auditing the Site against the relevant Quality System in a timely manner, detailing the audit findings and agreeing with the appropriate staff the necessary corrective actions.
  • Following up any non-compliances and ensure that corrective actions have been taken and to sign of the audit report prior to submission to the Quality Management Team.
  • Proactively manage Health & Safety issues to minimise the risk of accidents and near misses in the workplace.
  • Daily update of quality KPI's and feedback on issues to the Operations team.

Experience and Skills required to be a Quality Technician at Muller:

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with individuals at all levels
  • Auditing experience
  • Attention to detail and a tenacious approach to resolving issues and implementing corrective actions
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and IT based auditing tools
  • Working knowledge of HACCP
