RECfinancial are currently shortlisting exclusively for our South Leicestershire based practice, for an 6 - month Fixed Term contract full-time Assistant Management Accountant role. This is an exciting opportunity to join this growing business. 



Main role of Assistant Management Accountant

As the Assistant Management Accountant, the main responsibilities of this role are to ensure the Sales Ledger is accurately maintained and process deadlines are met, and ensuring accurate monthly management information in regards to Gross Margin recording and overheads. 


Responsibilitiesof the Assistant Management Accountant

  • Ensure good internal control with respect to the Sales Ledger function, including preparing and maintaining the weekly sales forecast reports

  • Ensuring all sales invoices are accurately posted to the appropriate nominal code with supporting POs and approvals to invoice

  • The setting up and maintenance of client accounts, ensuring that regular credit checks are carried out/credit limits

  • Assist with the chasing of client approval emails where required to ensure minimal delay in the processing of invoicing/cash collecting as well as chasing up accrued sales on a weekly basis

  • Manage the credit control side of the Sales Ledger, ensuring overdue invoices are detected and addressed with clients in a timely manner


Skills and experience:

  • Experience of working to tight deadlines and understanding where bottlenecks may arise during regular reporting periods and working to reduce these. 

  • Know where to obtain relevant and up to date information in relation to banking, VAT and Tax regulations

  • A solutions-driven individual, always working to provide options – displaying a ‘can-do’ approach.

  • Experience of working with Outlook for emails/diary management

  • IT Skills; including Excel, BACS, Exchequer or similar
