A fantastic opportunity has arisen with our Client based near Marlborough, Wiltshire. They are looking to recruit a Room Leader. This fantastic Nursery based is designed to provide children with fantastic opportunities. With wonderful walks in the country-side available on their doorstep as well as being local to a dairy farm and a forest – there are several different resources available to ensure children are indoors as well as outdoors to ensure the development through their early years.

Main Responsibilities;

  • Have an excellent understanding of the EYFS
  • Plan and implement activities that are engaging, educational, and age- appropriate in line with the nursery curriculum.
  • Build strong relationships with the team, the children and parents/carers
  • Set clear objectives and expectations for team members, providing regular, constructive feedback to support their development and ensure high standards of teaching and care.
  • Delegate responsibilities appropriately, ensuring tasks are distributed fairly and according to team members' strengths and areas for development.
  • Monitor and evaluate team performance, recognising achievements and addressing any areas of concern promptly and effectively.
  • To understand the importance of assessment, and ensure all children receive the statutory progress checks required.
  • To maintain records of your key children’s development and learning journeys and share with parents, carers and other professionals.
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures are always followed.
  • Understand that safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone’s responsibility and act accordingly.
