Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Derby – Professional Services £100-120K (DOE)We are delighted to be working exclusively with a leading Professional Services business who are seeking an experienced and hands-on CFO to join their senior management leadership team. As the CFO, you will work alongside the CEO and other Board members to support the company's strategic development and continued growth plans.The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant, ideally having trained in a top 10 practice with M&A experience. You will be comfortable working within a fast-paced, highly entrepreneurial environment, dealing with multiple stakeholders, both internally and externally. This is a key leadership, board-level position that will help support and enable growth over the coming years, including through an exit realisation. The potential opportunities that are available post-investment are immense when coupled with the right executive leadership team.Key responsibilities…
You will support the CEO and Board in all strategic matters including input to the strategic plan to deliver future growth.
You will be responsible for managing and leading the finance team and the delivery of all aspects of the finance function's activities for all entities within the corporate structure.
You will develop and manage the finance function and strategy necessary to support the delivery of the business' growth plans.
You will ensure appropriate internal financial controls are embedded and that there is a rigorous approach to financial forecasting and modelling.
You will oversee all banking administration and payment approvals. You will lead any refinancing process that may take place over the coming years and oversee all financial audit activities.
You will manage and deliver the annual budget process, in line with the Board's timetable and requirements, including responsibility for financial planning, analysis, VAT, and cash management.
You will support the business through any M&A or asset acquisition processes, including where necessary the preparation of financial models, ROI analysis and liaising with the Board.What the client is looking for…
You should be a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
You should ideally have experience in corporate finance, possibly from a top 10 Accountancy Practice
Have experience working in a Private Equity environment
You should possess strong technical skills
Have a high level of integrity and empathy and have strong leadership skills
