An opportunity has arisen for a Buyer to join one of the largest and most respected housebuilders in the UK, they have an excellent reputation and due to substantial growth, they are now looking to bolster their East Midlands division with the addition of an experienced Buyer. Buyer Opportunity
You will be responsible for the procurement of materials and plant, ensuring competitive rates within the available budget and you will provide a full range of cost control and financial reporting duties on all aspects of materials for construction work. Alongside the Senior Buyer, you will be accountable and responsible for the performance of the sites in your control.
Buyer Requirements
- A background in a purchasing role ideally within the residential sector
- Ability to build strong relationships
- Commercially astute and a proven ability to manage costs
- Attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Experience of COINS is desirable but not essential
- Proficient in MS Office package and experience using bid writing software is desirable
