Installation Electrician

AR523 –  Installation Electrician Location: Melksham Salary: £39,520 + Overtime Overview:First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Electrician on behalf of one of our clients.If successful, you will be responsible for performing electrical, installations for Data Centre Telecommunications equipment. The candidate will be trusted to work under limited supervision. The role requires a significant amount of nights away and all candidates must be willing to be away from home Mon - Fri.Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.Duties and Responsibilities:

• Interpretation of single phase and three phase systems and drawings
• Installation of electrical systems including tray work containment SWA and HO7RNF cabling
• Configuration and termination of control panels Power and control installations to PDUs
• Is responsible for testing final electrical connections including LV Voltages up to 400v/3 phase
• Test control panels and make connections which ensure the function of the panel yields accurate results.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Commercial and industrial electrical installation work
• Accredited Electrician Certification level 3 or above
• 18th edition electrical regulations
• Armoured cable installation
• Tray and Conduit work
• Basket and trunking fabrication
• 2391 Electrical test and inspection.
• 3+ years’ experience in industrial and commercial installations
• Knowledge of MCC and switchgear work.

Desirable:

• Ability to work alone unsupervised or within a team
• Interpret and plan work from issued drawings
• Minimum five years’ experience working in a critical environment.
• H&S qualifications i.e. NEBOSH, IOSH managing safety certificates
• General knowledge of HVAC / building services
• Knowledge and experience of Uninterrupted Power Systems (UPS)
