The successful candidate for the Maintenance Engineer role will work within a small team of engineers and will be responsible for providing a maintenance and improvements to production, reporting into the Engineering Shift Leader.
Role Specific Responsibilities and Duties:
Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on:
- Rubber injection and compression moulding machines
- Fault finding on hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, with an understanding of schematic drawings.
- Competent fabrication and machining skills
- Safety checks on moving equipment
- Mechanical PMI’s
- Tool changes and PMI’s (fork truck license is advantageous)
- Facility services and equipment, including boilers, compressors, pumps, air handling units, extraction fans.
- Small installation jobs along with improvement projects
- To ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental policies including PPE.
- Manage Maintenance Connect system on shift to ensure accurate input of Jobs.
- To carry out any other duties reasonably requested by your manager.
- Assist on Kaizens
- Ensure all TPMs are correct and up to date.
- Manage mould tools to be ready for production.
- Carry out any other duties reasonably requested by your Shift Leader.
Qualifications
- Recognised Mechanical Apprenticeship
- Qualified to NVQ 3 or equivalent.
Skills/Essential
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- A willingness to undertake necessary training to further your knowledge as to business needs.
- Assisting the Electrical Team when needed
Experience
- At least 5 years plant maintenance experience
