What do you need?

No qualifications are needed to be a teaching assistant, your character plays a big part in the role. If you feel you can display kind communication, patience and resilience you will be a fantastic fit for the school. A DBS will be needed but if you do not currently have one - no worries, we'll get it sorted! A general understanding of safeguarding is also beneficial, but we can provide training.

Responsibilities and duties:

Guiding students - Supporting 1:1 and small groups of pupils

Build trusting and constructive relationships with pupils

Be a team player - Work with the school to ensure the best support and care

Encourage engagement and development in child's learning

Set challenges to promote self-esteem and independence

Provide feedback to both teachers and pupils

Encourage socialisation and good behaviour by being patient and empathetic

Essential Criteria:

Commitment to personal and professional development

Right to work in the UK

Valid/relevant DBS

Two recent references

10 years (or nearest) work history
