My client, a specialist, UK based Engineering and Environmental Consultancy, is searching for a Graduate Flood Risk Consultant to join a supportive Team based in Merthyr Tydfil.

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background including a MSc and/or BSc in Hydrology, Geography, Environmental Management, Environmental Science or Civil Engineering and experience completing Flood Risk Assessments, Hydrology projects and GIS Mapping using ArcGIS.

Candidates are required to have a valid driving license to complete site surveys.

This exciting opportunity will offer the chance to join a bespoke team based in Merthyr Tydfil. You will have the opportunity to complete varied Flood Risk, Drainage, GIS mapping and Topographic Surveys for Private Sector Clients, Local Authorities and Housing Developers.

As a Graduate Flood Risk Consultant you will be required to complete the following technical work including;

Flood Risk Assessments

Flood Consequence Assessments for Planning Applications for flood zone 1,2 and 3.

Flood Mapping, Property Survey Mapping and Historical Mapping using ArcGIS

Drainage Strategies.

Topographic Surveys and Flood Surveys on site.

You will be required to drive to sites and work from the office a few days a week. Flexible working available.
