HGV Driver - Class 2

Pro-Found Recruitment are looking to recruit a HGV Class 2 Category C Driver for our client in Rotherham.

HGV Driver Benefits:

• Pay: £14.50 to £15.00 per hour + over time paid at time and a third
• Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.30pm & Friday 8.30am to 5pm
• Location: Rotherham
• 1 maybe 2 overnight stays per week- please do not apply if you are not able to do overnight stays as this is essential requirement of the role
• Contract: Temp to perm after 12 weeks - may consider straight perm for the right person
• Start date: ASAP - ideally Tuesday 28th May 2024

HGV Driver Duties:

• Safely operate an HGV Class 2 Vehicle (18.5 Tonne)
• Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries
• Delivering UK wide
• Complete necessary paperwork and logbooks accurately
• Provide excellent customer service
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.

HGV Driver Criteria:

• Mandatory possession of a Class 2 HGV licence Category C entitlement
• HGV Class 1 Experience (18 months min)
• A current Driver CPC Qualification Card and Digital Tachograph Card are essential
• No more than 3 points on driving licence for minor offences - No DD, DR or IN convictions on licence
• Previous experience in a similar role is essential
• Willing and able to do overnight stays - 1 to 2 per week
• Strong customer service skills
• A can-do attitude and good time-management skills
• Being a team player is key to ensuring deliveries and collections run smoothly
• Strong work ethic
