Proactive Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist plastics manufacturer based in Greater Middlesbrough. We are searching for a Quality Manager to join their expanding team on a permanent basis.

Job Overview:

As the Quality Manager you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our products consistently meet and exceed customer expectations. Your responsibilities will include organising and leading inspections, developing, and maintaining management systems, managing non-conformance, overseeing supplier quality assurance, and more. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.

Experience requirements:

  • (Preferred) 5+ Years experience in the manufacturing sector in quality department
  • They will be in charge of two directs.
  • Experience managing a team
  • Audit experience
  • Demonstrable familiarity with the processes such as injection moulding, paint finishing, assembly work.
  • ISO:9001 + IATF 16949 Essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Internal Quality and Supplier Audits
  • Develop, Improve & Maintain Management Systems (IATF16949, ISO 9001, Working towards ISO 14001)
  • Liaise with External Certification Bodies
  • Maintain and Review Laboratory Scope
  • Product Approval (Assist Product Engineering Function)
  • Assist in APQP Coordination
  • Develop Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, Control Plans, etc.
  • Manage and Compile Production Part Approval Planning Process (PPAP)
  • Assist in Conducting Process/Machine Capability Studies
  • Liaise with Customers on Quality Issues
  • Tracking/Reporting Cost of Quality
  • Generate/Present Data on Internal Rework & Scrap
  • Develop & Maintain KPIs (QCD)
  • Quality Assessment & Approval (Manage Approved Suppliers List)
  • Performance Reporting
  • Measurement System Control (GR&R)
  • Quarantine Control
  • Concession Requests, Participate in APQP
  • Assist Sales Manager in Issue/Routing Changes
