A vibrant Primary School in Middlesbrough, you will work under the SENCo as part of a large special needs team. This role, starting in September 2024, offers a rewarding opportunity to work on a long-term basis via Reed Education, with the opportunity to move to a permanent role by Christmas.
Role Details:
- Position: Special Needs Teaching Assistant
- Start Date: September 2024
- Hours: Full-time (5 days per week), 8.30am to 3.30pm
- Pay: £85 to £95 per day
Responsibilities: As a 1:1 support for pupils with Autism, you will:
- Foster a positive learning environment tailored to individual needs.
- Assist with academic tasks, social interactions, and emotional support.
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to create personalized learning plans.
Desirable Skills:
- Understanding of Autism: Experience working with pupils aged 4 to 11 with Autism.
- Patience and Empathy: Ability to connect with students and provide compassionate support.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust teaching methods based on individual requirements.
- Effective Communication: Clear communication with students, colleagues, and parents.
