Role: Quality Control Officer

We are looking for a dedicated Quality Control Officer to oversee product quality within our organisation, ensuring that our products meet high-quality standards and align with company strategy. This role is integral to maintaining our reputation for excellence and requires a professional with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
As a Quality Control Officer you will:
- Conduct pre and post-production quality checks, ensuring all products meet the required standards.
- Identify and address quality issues, collaborating with colleagues to rectify any problems swiftly.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding quality concerns, product damage, and production processes.
- Maintain accurate quality records, including compliance, non-conformance, and root cause analysis.
- Support the production team by providing coaching and training to minimise errors.
- Assist with internal and external audits and support the implementation of new quality standards.
- Provide KPI data and contribute to the continuous improvement of quality control processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in a production/manufacturing environment, preferably with concrete and steel products.
- Familiarity with quality control and assurance processes in a production setting is desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret quality and specification data, including drawings and production schedules.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and the ability to coach and support colleagues.

- Pay: 16.00 per hour rising to 16.50 on the successful completion of a 3-month probation - paid weekly
