I’m looking for a SEO Manager to join a Growth Marketing agency based in Milton Keynes. The agency is a cross-collaborative hub, they work on a tribe-based system which focuses on creating close-knit teams, you will be working from a brand new office in Milton Keynes, they go into the office 3 days a week so they can focus on client delivery and learning and development.

This role is paying between £30-£40k depending on experience and the benefits package is above average with a few luxuries including unlimited holiday…

This is an opportunity that won’t be around long!  

You will join an already established SEO team of around 10 strong and report into the Head of Content & Client Services. There are plans to grow the SEO team by an extra 1 or 2 people in the coming months. This is an incredible opportunity to part of a growing team with big ambitions!

This role is client-facing and will be working with technology clients focusing on getting their content out into the market and being highly searchable. This selection of clients all have six-figure monthly budgets and often operate on a global basis, so there is plenty of opportunity to experiment in different areas in SEO. This role is the first step to strategic management but will remain hands-on for the most part, they have a hands-on ethos so everyone in the business still hands right up to the directors.

All of the assigned have a Growth mindset so they will be constantly pushing for a greater ROI, building strong trustworthy relationships with the clients and act as a consultant and prepared to push back when needed.

This role primarily focuses SEO and will cover both strategy and hands-on deployment when working with clients. They are happy to cross-train to other areas of marketing or creativity in the long term, they believe learning never stops so aim to provide learning opportunities constantly, this leaves your career progression completely in your hands.  

The agency works with B2C and B2B so previous experience with both sectors would be advantageous. The most important thing for this agency is you and your personality. SEO can be taught but ambition and drive can’t; as long as you have heaps of that then this could be the perfect move for you.

Additionally, this agency has a £800 training budget per individual as well as a heap of Google Courses fully funded by the company; they truly believe in investing in their staff.

Role Responsibilities:

As a SEO Manager, your role will predominantly be focused on working with their clients to develop their SEO. You should expect to work with clients across eCommerce, B2B, Tech and SaaS as well as financial services with budgets in the millions.

  • Leading accounts from an organic search perspective, working with copy and content marketing teams to hit shared goals. This might also involve working with other channels (e.g Marketing automation and/or Paid Media) on multi-channel accounts
  • Building relationships with clients, and developing an in-depth understanding of their business goals and product offerings. You will know how to use that knowledge to develop SEO solutions to support clients’ business growth
  • Developing SEO strategies and work plans that are rooted in revenue-based KPIs and tied to the buyer's journey
  • Effectively presenting prioritised recommendations in a way that helps your clients get buy-in and get results. You’ll know when to push hard on getting recommendations implemented, and when to be ‘softer’ based on a client's needs
  • Conducting keyword research, creating content plans and delivering on these with the copy and content marketing team
  • Understanding the key parts of a page from an SEO perspective. Identifying and prioritising on-page optimisations
  • Using platforms like GA4 to review key performance metrics, spotting trends and using that information to update/ inform plans, as well as effectively communicating impact to your clients

Experience Required:

? Minimum of a few years experience in an SEO role

? At least a few years of experience working at a digital or performance marketing agency

? Passionate about developing and delivering exceptional outcomes and results for clients that are underpinned by success metrics and KPIs

? Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and presentation skills - especially with senior stakeholders

? Able to function independently, as well as collaboratively with wider team members

? Experience reporting from analytics platforms, preferably Google Analytics (GA4), and CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce)
