Title: Head of Commercial Finance
Reporting to: CFO
Morgan McKinley is proud to be working in partnership with a dynamic engineering/manufacturing business to recruit a Head of Commercial Finance.
As the Head of Commercial Finance you will be a commercially focused individual, able to influence at Board level. You will be able to live the company values while delivering to a high standard with energy and pace.
Responsibilities:
- Business partner the Board
- Ensure a robust forecast is in place by monitoring and challenging the forecast as well as investigating variances through to conclusion
- Ensure the team are providing reporting, analysis and insight to explain the underlying variances against budget and forecast
- Identify and follow risks and opportunities
- Provide direction to the Senior Leadership Teams to improve performance, support cost control and simplification
- Build, manage, track and evaluate projects
- Undertake and drive insightful analysis of all KPI's
- Manage and develop a small but strong qualified finance team
- Establish effective relationships with all members of the senior management team and develop a deep knowledge and understanding of the business
- Constantly strive to simplify processes while maintaining adequate controls
Requirements:
- A fully qualified accountant ideally with sector experience across either engineering, manufacturing or technology
- Strong commercial finance background
- A strong communicator who is comfortable challenging the status quo
- Strong leadership and motivation of people
- Able to interpret and communicate financial issues to non-finance stakeholders
- Ability to roll sleeves up and get into the detail when required
- Business partner at Board level

Salary & Benefits
The role of Head of Commercial Finance has a range of £100,000 - £120,000, plus excellent benefits.
