Service Dispatcher - Milton Keynes

Materials handling and intralogistics experts, Jungheinrich, provide industry leading equipment and service support to international and domestic businesses. From forklifts and pallet trucks right through to fully automated warehouse infrastructure, design and development.

At the heart of the business are our circa 450 academy trained engineers, responsible for maximising the uptime of our forklift fleet across the UK. Supporting and scheduling our engineers are a team of highly organised and dedicated Service Dispatchers.

Based from our office in Milton Keynes, our Service Dispatchers are responsible for:

  • Handling and logging of customer call efficiently and by agreed procedure.
  • Building strong and positive relationships with customers, engineers and colleagues.
  • Making sure that all customers are regularly being updated about the status of their work.
  • Maintenance planning.
  • Allocate and monitor progress of all incoming planned and unplanned work.
  • Record and monitor VOR trucks, escalate when and if required.
  • Allocate and order sub-contracted work.
  • Absence planning of engineers in conjunction with ASM.
  • Process engineer’s timesheets, checking for accuracy, productivity, overtime.
  • Making sure that all work is correctly charged to the customer and any error logs are cleansed regularly.
  • Review team resource, skill matrix and primary engineers regularly with team ASM.
  • Participate in internal meetings (team meetings, ASM meetings etc.)
  • Monitor engineer’s performance and escalate to ASM where appropriate.
  • Procurement of engineers tools and small materials.

The ideal candidate will have a background in planning and organising, a high attention to detail and great teamwork.

Our Service Dispatchers operate Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm with the option of hybrid working after successfully passing probation.
