Responsibilities:

  • Travel to client sites to carry out network installations, configurations, and troubleshooting.
  • Install and configure networking equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Conduct site surveys to assess network requirements and recommend solutions.
  • Provide technical support to clients remotely or on-site as required.
  • Troubleshoot network issues and perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve problems.
  • Configure and troubleshoot VOIP systems.
  • Ensure that installations and configurations are completed according to best practices and company standards.
  • Document all work performed, including configurations, changes, and resolutions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Install, configure, and maintain VoIP systems.
  • Work with Draytek routers and Unifi network devices, ensuring optimal setup and performance.
  • Terminate and run CAT6 cables in various environments.
  • Utilise power tools, such as drills, to install necessary equipment.
  • Safely use ladders to access and install equipment in elevated locations.
  • Deploy WiFi access points across multiple sites.
  • Assist in the installation of audio systems including speakers and amplifiers, with provided training.
  • Travel to multiple sites, with the possibility of overnight stays for up to three nights.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all installations and service procedures.

Requirements:

  • Valid driving license with the ability to travel to client sites as needed.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a networking or telecoms environment.
  • Strong knowledge of networking principles and technologies, including TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
  • Experience with network installations, configurations, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with VOIP technologies and systems.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Professional certifications such as CiscoCCNA or equivalent are a plus.

Location: Nationwide travel required, remote based role.

Salary: Up to £36,000 per annum + Company Van
