Position: Legal Counsel, Commercial (NQ - 2 Years) Location: Milton Keynes, UK (Hybrid - 2 to 3 days office-based)Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum, plus bonus and benefits
New Legal Counsel opportunity for an NQ to 2 year Commercial Tech Solicitor to join an existing In-House team, this role offers hybrid working, with 2 to 3 days office based in Milton Keynes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate general commercial agreements with a focus on IT and/or Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) contracts.
- Provide legal advice and support on data protection matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and effectively communicate legal requirements and implications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and mitigate legal risks.
Requirements:
- UK qualified Solicitor, NQ to 2 years PQE.
- Background in general commercial agreements with experience in IT and/or SaaS contracts.
- Some experience in data protection is preferred.
- In-house background would be advantageous, but we also welcome candidates from private practice (or who have done an In-House secondment).
- Confident and proactive approach with excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
