Milton Keynes Council is seeking a Social Worker for its Fostering team.

This is a full-time role, up to 3 days per week in the office and £38 - £40 per hour.

Please see details below:

  • Completing assessments for prospective foster and kinship carers.
  • Work with prospective foster and Kinship carers to complete IVA, SGO and Form F assessments 
  • To prepare documents and statements for court when required.
  • Attend meetings relating to the families you are working with if required.
  • This will involve travelling to the home of the carer.

Requirements of the role:

  • Qualified Social Worker
  • Fully Social Work England registered
  • Must have experience of undertaking assessments for prospective foster carers and/or kinship care
  • Knowledgeable about the process of becoming a carer and have excellent understanding of fostering regulations.
  • Be able to support families through the process.
  • Be confident and good at forming relationships while maintaining the focus on the best outcome for our children
