Monday - Thursday, 7:30am - 4:45pm, Friday finish at 4pm

£45,000 - £55,000(depending on experience)

We are seeking a Head of Supply Chain with a strong background in procurement, purchasing and stock management for a leading Plastic Packaging Supplier based in mid-Wales.

The Candidate:

• Previous experience in a B2B supply chain management position with a proven track record of delivering results.
• Strong work ethic: the desire to get things done, and to learn and progress.
• Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of seniority, customers, and colleagues alike.
• Analytical and strategic proficiency, capable of interpreting data and leveraging insights to drive business growth.
• You must be willing to dig into the finer detail with cost savings and current systems, and to advise on change.
• You must be a strong negotiator and have a good understanding of distributors.
• You must be willing to find solutions to supply chain-related issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the growth of a leading supplier of plastic packaging.
• Implement improved supplier management systems.
• Build strong relationships with current suppliers and implementing industry standard processes.
• Unite, manage and advise the purchasing and procurement team.
• You will manage a headcount of 4 in the purchasing department.
• Occasional supplier visits UK and Europe wide.
• You will be responsible for supply chain, stock and procurement management.
• Departmental budget responsibility.
