A 3 months+ opportunity for an Environmental Health technician has arisen with the local authorities in Merton.

Pay rate of 27.90 per hour PAYE plus Hol Pay, Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week.

An opportunity has arisen for a keen and enthusiastic Environmental Health technician to join the Noise & Nuisance Team in the Regulatory Services Partnership.
In order to be considered you must have extensive knowledge and experience of responding to statutory nuisance complaints under Environmental Protection 1990 and dealing with construction sites under the Control of Pollution Act 1974. You will be expected to investigate noise complaints and other complaints such as those relating to bonfires and light pollution.

You must have excellent communication and customer care skills, the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines. The ability to work well as part of a team as well as on your own initiative is essential. This is a demanding role, and the successful candidate will be well organised and able to work flexibly.

Good interpersonal and organisational skills are essential. The post is based in our London borough of Merton office. The officer will be expected to work 35 hours per week Monday to Friday .

The individual is required to have a full UK driving license and will have their own vehicle to be able to carry out visits in the borough.
