Reed Education is looking for a dynamic Female PE Teacher to join a secondary school in Lancaster from September on a long-term basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the PE curriculum, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to creating an engaging learning environment for students at KS3 and KS4 levels. Experience with KS5 would be advantageous.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Deliver high-quality PE lessons across KS3 and KS4, and potentially KS5.
  • Create a positive and stimulating learning environment that promotes student engagement and participation.
  • Utilise effective classroom management skills to maintain discipline and focus.
  • Plan, prepare and assess student work to ensure high standards of achievement.
  • Act as a role model, demonstrating compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the school community.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Recent relevant experience teaching PE at KS3 and KS4; KS5 experience is beneficial.
  • Excellent classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge.
  • Reliable, committed, and capable of working with students as a positive role model.
  • Good interpersonal skills, punctuality, patience, and confidence when working with children.
