Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We seek a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join the design team to develop innovative solutions to improve the existing equipment and design new solutions . The successful candidate will possess strong mechanical design skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for mechanical design.

Description

The Job :

- Design and development of new project concepts from conception through to successful completion

- Prepare designs, drawings and equipment to comply with British and European Standards.

- Engineering calculations to analyse stress and deflection of structures, power and torque of drivetrains, the inertia of machinery and mechanisms.

- Understanding tolerances and material choice

- The applicant must be fully experienced with Solidworks

Profile

A successful Senior Mechanical Design Engineer should have:

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Design of machine tools / metal-cutting machinery (ideally grinding / milling machines)
• Experience with pneumatic / hydraulics advantageous
• Robotics experience advantageous.
• FEA Simulation
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor others.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
• Must be fully experienced in Solidworks
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.

Job Offer

• An estimated salary range of 50,000 to 60,000 per year, depending on experience.
• Holidays - 32 days annual leave including statutory days + 1 day for each year of service to maximum of 5 days
