Welder

Reed Engineering are working alongside our client who is looking to add a Welder/Fabricator to their team on a permanent basis. You’ll be based in the Lanarkshire area.

Hours: Monday – Thursday 7.30am – 4.15pm, Friday 7.30am – 12.30pm

Hourly Rate: £16.62 p/hour

Overtime: Weekdays 1.5x, Saturday 1.5x, Sunday 2x

Daily Duties –

• Welding including vacuum welding of fabricated parts using MIG, TIG FCAW and very occasionally stick techniques
• Fabricating various parts including pipework that can vary in size and complexity
• Reading and interpretating engineering drawings
• Inspecting own work ensuring parts are correct
• Carry out repairs to fabrications/welds that arrive from customer sites  

Candidate Requirements –

• Apprenticeship in fabrication/welding or time-served  
• Experience with materials such as stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium
• Driving Licence
