Housing Officer
Location: Rhondda Cynon Taf
Contract Type: Temporary
Hourly Rate: 2123 per hour via umbrella
Start Date: Immediate

We're currently looking for an experienced Housing Officer to join a proactive and supportive housing team based in Cynon and Taff. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Housing Officer with a strong background in rent recovery and tenancy management who is ready to hit the ground running in a fast-paced role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a patch of general needs properties and act as the main point of contact for tenants
  • Focus on rent recovery and arrears management, supporting tenants to sustain their tenancies
  • Conduct tenancy sign-ups, viewings, property inspections, and well-being visits
  • Handle a range of tenancy matters including ASB, safeguarding, and tenancy breaches
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using QL housing management systems
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external support agencies to ensure positive outcomes for tenants

About You:

  • Proven, direct experience working as a Housing Officer, ideally within general needs housing
  • Strong understanding of rent recovery, tenancy law, and tenancy sustainment strategies
  • Confident using QL or similar housing management systems
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage challenging conversations and caseloads
  • A reliable and motivated Housing Officer who is able to start immediately and work independently
