we will require the candidates to have direct work experience in a local authority setting within a Homelessness team.

They will need to demonstrate the following , experience ofworking with and employing Homeless persons legislation , case load management , making enquiries and investigating a persons housing need , providing advice and assistance , making homeless legal decisions , making refferals to support services , having difficult conversations , utilising access to grant funding to alleviate housing need , working to deadlines and able to prioritise work.

Have excellent customer service skills.

Be able to record keep and good data entry .

An understanding of the CIVICA abritas system would be an advantage but not essential . Renting Homes knowledge and understanding

you will be required to work from the office five days a week and will be responsible for answering calls and providing advice and assistance to those who make contact.

You will then review the persons housing need and make a decision on if they are homeless and take forward any relevant advice and case in accordance with the JD and pathways within the team.

You will hold a case load and review and take decision on this and will be responsible for all record keeping in line with requirements and system data entry. you will look to maximise housing options to successfully discharge duty , you will make referrals to the emergency housing team and monitor and manage these placements .
