We are supporting a friendly and inclusive SEN school in New Malden that is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join their committed team.



About the Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant in this specialist environment, you will:

  • Support pupils with a range of complex needs, including ASD, speech and language difficulties, and sensory or physical challenges.
  • Work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver personalised learning and support strategies.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group assistance to help pupils engage with learning and develop vital life skills.
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and positive social interactions through consistent support.
  • Help to maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment.


What We're Looking For:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs (highly desirable).
  • A compassionate, adaptable, and resilient attitude.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and behaviour management skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all pupils.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are a bonus but not essential.
