We have fantastic permanent opportunities for hard-working and dedicated support workers to join our client at a small residential home based in the Dorset/Hampshire area!The home, which supports young people with Emotional Behaviour Disorder, Challenging Behaviours and Mental Health. Helps to provide a welcoming and encouraging environment to support young people in flourishing academically, socially, and emotionally.We have full-time, permanent roles for days. 2x 15-hour shift and 1 8x hour shift with 1 full weekend work and 2 weekends off for 38 hours per week.Your new role As a Children's Support Worker, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the health and safety of young people is maintained whilst generating a positive, safe, and fun atmosphere.
  • Promoting and encouraging independence in a caring and compassionate manner.
  • Ensure that the needs of the young people are observed and always met.
  • Actively promote and develop learning whilst participating in activities whilst working within and outside the service.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Having a genuine passion for caring for others whilst being calm and compassionate.
  • Understanding of Emotional Behaviour Disorder and Challenging Behaviours is advantageous.
  • Flexible and reliable with your working schedule.
  • Level 3 NVQ desirable
  • Recent experience working with young people is essential.
  • You must have a full UK driving licence and your own transport.
  • Due to the requirements, you must be 21 or older
