Kelham House Country Manor is an award winning, exclusive use wedding and event venue on the outskirts of Newark.

We are looking to recruit a Sous Chef to work within our current team preparing fresh food to a high standard for weddings and other events.

Salary: £28,000 pro rata based on hourly pay of £13.50

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

We are a small but highly productive and professional team, looking to add a new member because of the growth of our business. 

We are looking for the right candidate to:

• Assist & support the Head Chef with the day to day running of the kitchen.
• Assisting with ordering and management of stock.
• Manage the labour efficiency within the kitchen team.
• Ensure all Health & Hygiene procedures are implemented and continually adhered to.
• Ability to work & train on each section of the kitchen.
• Ability to work within a team and independently when needed.

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Experience within a similar role
• Excellent culinary skills
• Excellent communication and leadership skills and the ability to engage and motivate others
• Willingness to lead by example and inspire the team
• NVQ Level 2/3 in professional cookery or equivalent

You will need your own transport as there is no reliable public transport routes.

You must be eligible to work in the UK and not need accommodation as none is available, also independent means of travel is essential due to our countryside location.
