Seven Resourcing are currently seeking a Social Work Assistant to work within the LAC Team for Nottinghamshire Council. This is a full time hybrid position of 37 hours a week, and we are paying £14.50 per hour for this role. 

The role:

To support the work of the service in securing best outcomes for children, young people and their families. This will include supporting assessments of need and undertaking direct work with children, young people and their families in line with the relevant plan.

Key Responsibilities:

      Assist social workers and others in the assessment of need and the implementation of plans for children and families..

Develop and implement plans for children where appropriate as part of the management of a caseload under the supervision of the practice supervisor or team manager as appropriate.

Undertake direct work with children and families as part of their plan.

Liaise with schools, health services, voluntary agencies and other partner agencies in developing and reviewing plans for children and their families.

Review and assess the impact of plans for children and families, including the chairing of meetings as appropriate.

Maintain accurate and up to date written records

Take up opportunities for relevant training and development.

Participate in team activities e.g. team meetings, case discussions, review of team work.

Participate in regular supervision (individual and group supervision).

To ensure confidentiality of information in line with County Council policy and relevant legislation, in respect of records maintained and tasks undertaken. This includes maintaining strict confidentiality in relation to personal information (including that of service users and other employees) which may become known in the course of work or associated activities.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: GCSEs A-C or equivalent including at least English and Maths. Need Moving and Handling Training. 

    Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience

  • Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role. 
  • Compliance: Current Standard DBS check. 
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37 hours p/w.
