A well regarded accountancy firm in Newcastle are looking to appoint a qualified (ACA/ACCA) Accountant or part-qualified finalist who is able to work directly with their clients.

This firm has a growing team of accounting professionals, at all levels of learning and qualifications, who work particularly well as a supportive team. They are keen to welcome another Accountant who can undertake a portfolio of clients mainly SME and OMB’s, looking after all aspects of their accounts.

Your involvement will include:

  • Year end statutory accounting on behalf of clients.
  • Preparation of Corporation tax computations at CT600’s
  • Overseeing bookkeeping and accuracy.
  • Initial preparation of tax return with support from the tax team.
  • Management accounts production

You will have the opportunity to meet with your clients on site and deal with any of their queries.

We are looking for an individual who is working in an accountancy firm and ready for career progression and the chance to demonstrate their ability to "step up". You must have year end accounts experience and be confident liaising with clients. It would be beneficial if anyone has payroll experience to provide back up support for holiday cover, but this is not essential. in the longer term the firm still needs more succession planning and thus this role can provide sustained career progression for those ambitious aspiring future Partners.

The team work in the office each day but provide flexibility when people need to work from home and also offer flexible start and finish times for all. They are a close knit team and enjoy both working socially together and also learning and developing their knowledge from having each other around each day.
