This job is no longer availableWe are currently looking for an Organic Chemist to join a research company in the North East.
The role:
Working with a team of highly skilled Research Scientists you will design and conduct organic synthesis of drug target molecules.
Responsibilities:
- Using your synthetic knowledge and experience you will design synthetic routes for target molecules.
- Carry out synthesis on mg to gram scale.
- Run analytical instrumentation to purify compounds.
- Work collaboratively with other teams and departments.
Ideal candidates:
Will be PhD qualified in Organic Chemistry or have a Degree/ Masters in Organic Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry along with strong synthetic organic chemistry skills.
To be successful as an Organic Chemist you will ideally have previous experience in multistep synthesis working in industry (CRO or Pharmaceutical company).
