Business Development & Relationship Manager - Learning Disability Services

Remote - The North of England

£57,742 per annum

Essential Criteria

  • A strong track record in either a business development or senior management role which emphasises business development in the learning disability care sector.
  • Demonstrable experience of building and maintaining relationships with local authority contacts.
  • Must own a car and have a valid driver’s license.

Preferred Criteria

  • A network of established contacts in the sector.

Compass Associates are proud to be partnering with an established nonprofit provider of adult learning disability services to recruit a Business Development & Relationship Manager who can promote the organization with local authorities and ICB’s, while maintaining strong existing ties.

The Role

The Business Development & Relationship Manager will be responsible for managing referrals for the business and obtaining, managing, and placing new residents in appropriate services. This fast-paced role will involve building deep-rooted relationships internally with managers and externally with local authorities and ICB’s. As the group continues to expand in the future, the Business Development Manager will be a key player when formulating growth strategies. This is predominantly an hybrid-based position, with time spent out in the field visiting service, working from home, and occasionally visiting HQ.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be well-versed in how business development and commissioning works in this sector; they will already have established contacts in local authorities and ICB’s. Most importantly, they will possess a firm understanding of the learning disability care sector - how services operate on a day-to-day basis and how the referral process works. Applicants must be comfortable communicators with integrity, confidence, and the strength of character necessary to successfully negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.

Interview Process

There will be a two-stage interview process:

  1. An informal Teams interview with the hiring manager.
  2. A formal interview onsite with the hiring manager and the organization’s COO.

Recommendations

Compass Associates Ltd is acting as a Recruitment Consultancy for this permanent vacancy; we offer £200 of John Lewis vouchers for each successful recommendation.
