A ground investigation consultancy based in Newcastle upon Tyne are seeking a geotechnical or geo-environmental engineer to join the team on a variety of exciting positons. Specialising in Phase I Desktop Studies and Phase II Site Investigation & Risk Assessments, and with a niche team size to allow for progression and varied work, this consultancy can offer excellent opportunities for you to progress your career.

The Geotechnical Engineer selected will be offered:

This Geotechnical Engineer position will involve:

  • Approximately 50% site work to 50% office work.
  • Site work will include borehole logging, trial pitting and supervising ground investigations, as well as carrying out risk assessments.
  • You'll also be doing Phase I desk studies, writing reports and carrying out in-situ testing.
  • Contribution to the training of junior members and/or developing your own skills is also encouraged.

The Geotechnical Engineer selected will have a degree in geology, geotechnical engineering, engineering geology or a related subject. Candidates must have experience as a geotechnical or geo-environmental engineer or consultant, have exceptional communication and time management skills, hold a valid UK Driving licence and be commutable to Newcastle upon Tyne. A full right to work in the UK is essential.
