With over 15 years of experience, Medical Staffing is a leading medical service provider operating across the UK. We are currently seeking a compassionate physician associate with primary care experience to work ad-hoc or long term shifts, in and around the Newcastle area.

Physician Associate requirements and qualifications:

  • Must have either PG diploma or MSC
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must have experience in a Primary care setting
  • Has passed UK physician associate national re-certification exam
  • Ideally a prescriber
  • Participates in continuing professional development - CPD
  • Able to work efficiently, while adapting to different environments

A bit about the role:

  • Provide first point of contact care for patients presenting with undifferentiated, undiagnosed problems by utilizing history taking, physical examination and clinical decision making skills to establish a working diagnosis and management plan with the patient.
  • Support management of patient's conditions through specialized clinics including but not limited to - Family planning, baby checks, COPD, Asthma, diabetes and anticoagulation.
  • Provide health and disease promotion and prevention advice alongside analyzing and actioning diagnostic test results.
  • Participate in duty rotas, undertaking face to face, telephone and online consultations for emergency or routine problems as determined by the PCN , including management of patients with LTC.
  • Undertake home visits when required.
  • Utilize clinical guidelines and promote evidence based practice and partake in clinical audits, significant event reviews and other research and analysis.
