Job Title: Early Years Teaching Assistant
Location: Newcastle
Salary Scale: £80 - £100 per day
Contract: Full-time role
Start Date: As soon as possible
GSL Education is seeking inspiring and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistants to join our client schools in Newcastle.
The main duties as a Early Years Teaching Assistant will include:
- Supporting the pupils in their education
- Supporting and managing behaviour
- Working with the class teacher to implement interventions
- Supporting and delivering creative and innovative lessons
- Using formative and summative assessment
- Assessing phonics following the school’s chosen program
- Promoting independence with life skills
- Providing an outstanding level of safeguarding and pastoral care
The ideal candidate will:
- Be proactive, energetic, kind and caring
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to go through the process with us)
- A fully checkable work history
- Must have a driving license.
- Preferably should have business insurance and be committed for long term.
- Candidate must be in good mental and physical health and also must be a resilient and reliable individual.
- Must be able to work with vulnerable and challenging pupils in a school environment.
