Agile Delivery Lead

  • Annual Salary: £60k - £80k
  • Location: Tyne and Wear (3 days per week)

We are looking for an Agile Delivery Lead to join a local success story and develop a new Agile Delivery capability. This role is ideal for a leader who is passionate about agile methodologies and delivering exceptional results. The successful candidate will facilitate and optimise our agile processes and lead cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Lead and coach the organisation in its Agile adoption, consistently promoting the Agile mindset and principles.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
  • Collaborate with product owners and development teams to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
  • Ensure that the team is fully functional, productive, and focused on the sprint goals.
  • Remove impediments to the team’s progress and protect them from external interruptions.
  • Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress to all affected teams and management.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging the team to experiment with new processes and tools.
  • Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical departments, communicating internal and external feedback to team members.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Agile Delivery Lead or similar role in Agile environments.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products within tight deadlines.
  • Experience with Agile project management tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
