- Manage a caseload of defendant catastrophic injury claims, including but not limited to spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, severe burns, and amputations.
- Conduct thorough investigations into the circumstances surrounding each claim, gathering evidence and documentation to support the defence strategy.
- Work closely with insurance clients and other defendants to develop effective defence strategies and achieve favourable outcomes.
- Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and witness statements, with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings, advocating vigorously for their interests.
- Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and legal developments in the field of catastrophic injury litigation.
- Qualified Solicitor with an interest in defendant catastrophic injury claims and some experience in working on claimant or defendant personal injury or clinical negligence files.
- Strong understanding of personal injury law, including relevant statutes, case law, and procedural rules.
- Excellent litigation skills, with the ability to effectively advocate for clients in negotiations and court proceedings.
- Proven track record of successfully defending complex injury claims.
