About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join the Children in Care and Care Leavers Team in Newcastle.
This role involves working closely with children and young people in care to ensure their needs are met and their voices are heard. You will be responsible for care planning, statutory visits, and working with various professionals and family members to provide comprehensive support.

Key Responsibilities:

Statutory Visits: Conduct regular visits to children and young people in care within statutory timescales.
Care Planning: Develop and review care plans that address both short-term and long-term needs.
Collaboration: Work with foster carers, residential settings, family members, and professionals from health, education, and other sectors.
Court Work: Attend court and prepare necessary documentation.
Family Communication: Maintain effective communication with parents and make informed decisions about family time and other aspects of care.

Qualifications: Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
Experience: Prior experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
Skills: Strong communication, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
