Our client is seeking an experienced Control Systems Engineering Team Lead to join their team in the Tyneside area. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for leading a team of 6-8 engineers in the delivery of control system upgrades for electrical power transmission and distribution infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, lead, and coach the Transmission delivery team to ensure projects are delivered to the highest quality standards and on time
- Ensure compliance with customer technical specifications on all projects
- Work with the team to develop and implement cost-saving initiatives
- Develop, implement, and quality control the control systems delivery processes
- Liaise with internal and external engineers to provide complete solutions
- Manage resource and project allocation for the team
- Provide technical input for pre-sales activities and design reviews
Qualifications:
- Minimum HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
- Extensive experience in the Electricity Transmission and Distribution industry
- Proven track record of leading a multi-skilled engineering team
- Strong technical expertise in control and automation systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
