Hybrid working from One Strawberry Lane, Newcastle Upon Tyne and from home

Permanent, full time (37.5 hpw)

Following an internal Grow Our Own promotion, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Marketing and Communications team as Digital Content Executive. Youll deliver high quality content on our corporate website including our chatbot, online repairs tool, My Home customer account and across social media channels.

Typical day as a Digital Content Executive

  • Writing high quality content and building web pages for our corporate website using Umbraco CMS. Youll focus on our customers needs, including accessibility as well as our business objectives.
  • Working collaboratively with teams across Home Group to make sure digital content helps customers during their repairs journey. One day you will be creating DIY content on TikTok, the next making sure it's easy for customers to report a repair online.
  • Managing our social media platform, using socials to reach diverse audience groups through creative content, targeting and optimisation.
  • Measuring the performance of content through metrics, analytics and reporting. Using these insights to influence future content, driving improved performance.
  • Use your knowledge of the external environment to understand the reputational risk of getting content wrong and working closely with our governance and policy teams to make sure our website meets our regulatory requirements.

You are:

  • An experienced digital content creator who has created and managed content for websites and social media campaigns (paid and organic), including designing content around accessibility principles.
  • Creative, with an eye for detail who can write, edit and proof-read social media and website content (lets hope you spot no typos here!).
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, who can work collaboratively building productive relationships across teams.
  • A track record in interpreting web and social analytics and using these insights to drive performance across content and channels. Youll be experienced in using content management systems such as Umbraco CMS and Orlo or equivalent.
  • Youll get where our customers are in their lives, using these insights to turn complex information into customer focused and useable content.

You'll join Cath and our marketing communications team, we're super passionate about what we do. We're really proud of creating website content that helps thousands of our customers. We're a supportive bunch and like to catch up over an iced coffee (caffeine optional) and empire biscuit.

Job details

  • Flexible working hours, Monday to Friday.
  • Youll manage your own diary, so if you need to nip out to walk the dog or do the school run, were ok with that!
  • This is a hybrid role and youll spend around two days in our office at One Strawberry Lane, Newcastle and the rest working at home. There may be occasional working from other locations to deliver campaigns.
