Role and Responsibilities:As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen team and ensuring the smooth running of food service within the nursing home. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with food preparation and cooking as directed by the Chef.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area.
  • Supporting with food service during meal times.
  • Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
  • Following food safety regulations and procedures.
  • Assisting with stock control and inventory management.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
  • Basic food hygiene certificate is preferred.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Compassionate and respectful attitude towards elderly residents.
