SF Recruitment are delighted to be working on a retained basis with a global leader in the manufacturing industry based in Newport. This business develop leading brands for commercial and retail customers, delivering innovative products to a worldwide customer base. This Management Accountant position will be the lead finance contact for the Newport site, reporting to the Group Financial Controller.

The successful Management Accountant will be confident, hard working and ideally have experience within manufacturing. Along with a competitve package and car allowance you will be given the option of working from home 2/3 days a week as well as study support. Please be advised occasional travel to other Group sites will be required. 

Key Responsibilities:

Management Accounts:

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. - Produce a monthly financial accounts pack including a profit and loss statement, balance sheet, and cash scorecard for reporting deadlines. - Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.

Forecasting and Budgeting:

- Partner with the business to assist in the production of the annual budget and monthly forecasting. - Collaborate in designing budget holder reviews, analysing actuals vs. budget based on stakeholder requirements and feedback. - Produce a weekly 13-week cash forecast for the entity.

Monthly Reporting:

- Work comfortably with short month-end deadlines and regular external reporting requirements. - Submit accurate monthly accounts to Group Finance after thorough review. - Provide detailed commentary to Regional General Managers to assist in understanding the monthly financial performance. - Meet external reporting requirements for the business, including VAT, EC Sales, and ONS surveys. You will also support Site Management Teams, Operations, Business Excellence, and the Finance Business Partner as needed.
