HGV Waste Collection Driver£14.03 Per hour + OvertimeTemp to PermPertemps are on the lookout for an experienced Class 2 Driver to join our client based in Newport on the Isle of Wight. This role is a temporary on-going assignment with a permanent contract for the right candidate.The normal working hours would be Monday to Friday 06:30am – 15:30pm, but there is potential overtime available.Your main duties would be:- Collecting refuse and recycling from locations across the Island and dispose of them at the appropriate collection site.- Carry out daily vehicle checks.- Drive the routes that will be provided each morning.- Operating the compaction controls when needed.- Using the in-cab devices.- Assisting in the loading responsibilities when required.- Ensuring that paperwork is fully completed when liaising with supervisors.- Being compliant with Health and Safety requirements.The right candidate with have:- At least 1 year’s commercial driving experience.- A valid DQC/CPC card.- A valid Digital Tacho Card.- A Cat C Full UK Driving License.- No more than 6 points on your license.Ideal attributes:- Previous customer service experience.- Excellent knowledge of the Isle of Wight.- Health and Safety knowledge.- Computer literate.Interested applicants should apply by uploading their most recent CV or by contacting Emma from our Isle of Wight Branch.
