We have a temporary Electrical Team Member role available within TATA Steel'sLlanwern site. This role is ideal for someone who holds experience of AC/DC systems and is comfortable working at heights.

Role: Electrical Team MemberDepartment: Llanwern Cranes & lifting. Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday - 07:00 - 15:00 Overtime: (OT): 1.5x Saturday, 2x Sunday - During the working week OT 1.5x. The likelihood of OT would be fortnightly/weekly. Duration: 12 month rolling contract. Salary: £31,844.80p

Your Role:You will oversee the electrical upkeep, overhaul, and repair of our crane equipment, ensuring high-level bay maintenance. Your hands-on approach will also extend to general production line maintenance during downtime.

Responsibilities:

  • Uphold Health, Safety, and Environmental standards in compliance with our IMS procedures and PPE guidelines.
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on Overhead Travelling Cranes.
  • Perform high-quality electrical repairs based on existing schematics within set timelines.
  • Contribute to the design and production of spare parts for cranes.
  • Engage in the refurbishment of current machinery.
  • Actively participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives, enhancing safety and cleanliness within the Crane Maintenance Team.
  • Perform additional duties in Workshops, auxiliary plants, and during downshifts as needed.
  • Carry out Safety audits and Risk assessments in accordance with our Safety Plan.
